Ida & the cakes is a Stockholm based cake designer known for our modern wedding cakes. With our +300 weddings we’ve done them all – the skyhigh, the meter long, the small and the classic.
What you see is not what you get – you’ll get YOURS.
We design wedding cakes inspired by you and your journey together. We love creating unique wedding cakes where you will be a part of both the tasting and the designing process – if you like.
Our cakes are covered with Swiss buttercream (you know, the delicious kind) and filled with the Swedish way of filling a cake: 30% moist sponge and 70% filling like mousse, curd and jam. Meaning; we make no dry cakes.
We understand planning a wedding abroad can be difficult and at times; a bit of a culture shock, but with the right set of vendors we’ll make your wedding one for the books!
Here’s how we do it:
With the distance to your wedding destination we would love to talk online to get to know the two of you. We’ll walk you through the big day – everything from where you’ll get married to your ideas of a perfect wedding cake.
If you manage to swing by Stockholm before your wedding we’d be happy to offer you a tasting box with all of our tasty flavors from the menu. If not, don’t worry – just let us know when you’ll serve the cake and what you’ll be drinking and we’ll guide you through our best suggestion.
When all is settle and done we’ll send you a digital draft of the design and everything we agreed on during our meeting. Later we’ll inform your wedding venue.
Speaking of venue – with our +300 weddings experience we’ve pretty much been to them all. Therefore we’ll manage the venue contact regarding the delivery, timing and the cake cutting instructions (yes, it’s 8 pages!).
Your job will be to enjoy the cake. Easy, huh?!
